November is " Native American Heritage Month"
The Seven Grandfather Teaching for this month is RESPECT.
Respect ~ Manaaji’idiwin
Pronounced ~ Ma-naw-jay-ee-dewin
Respect is the gift from the Buffalo. The buffalo provided native peoples with everything they needed to survive. In doing so this reminds us to respect all living things. To honor all of creation is to have respect, accepting someone for who they are and acknowledging that we are all different in unique ways, this builds feelings of trust, safety, values and wellbeing. The Buffalo also symbolizes strength and providing for others.
To be a Warrior, you uphold the values and traditions, to act with integrity and respect towards others.
