Warroad Summer Theatre is holding their show, “Willy Wonka Jr.” Wednesday through Saturday. There will also be a bookmark making class, a swap meet, and to kick off the festivities for the fourth of July we are holding the Patriotic Variety Show at Allison Park. The matchups for Hockey Day have been announced! The Warroad girls will play Lakeview North at 930am and the Warroad boys will play rival Roseau Rams at 430pm on Saturday January 27th. Go Warriors!!!
Starting off the week Folk School of Warroad is putting on a beading class. The Hampton Inn is holding two events this week- Live music and bingo night! Thursday is the Kidpreneur Community Day which will be held from 10:00am until 2:00pm outside of the Lake of the Woods Coffee Shop. Lake of the Woods Brewing Company is holding their Fish Fry Fantastico at 6pm. Saturday is a busy day filled with a Folk School quilting class, a rhubarb festival and a classic car and bike show! Reminder- starting June 20, 2023, there will be no open swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the indoor pool. There will still be evening swim lessons at 5:30pm-6:30pm.
The outdoor pool is open Monday-Sunday from 12pm-6pm. Daily admission is $3.00 per person.
Northborn Days has come and gone, but the summer has only begun! We wish good luck to Ryan Shaugabay, who is representing Warroad at the Boys State Golf Tournament this week! The second quarterly Town Hall Meeting will be held at the WHS theater on Thursday with three presentations about new community updates, as well as presentations by Senator Mark Johnson and Representative John Burkel. Friday, LOW Brewery is holding their Fish Fry Fantastico along with live music with Bubba Maki, and this Saturday, the Veterans ATV Run is at 9am at Bemis Hill. First week into summer and we have a busy week ahead of us! Our biggest event of the summer is Northborn Days this Friday and Saturday! Friday will be the Northborn Birthday Party and Free Community Picnic followed by the Northborn Talent show and our movie night showing “Kung Fu Panda”. Saturday will have a variety of food trucks, refreshments, cornhole tournament, and a huge line up of live music! Get ready for a weekend full of family fun and live music at Allison Park!
Leading up to this, Boys and Girls Golf are entering their sections tournament Monday and Tuesday at Bemidji. Then there will be a free car seat checkup, Crafty Wednesday will be starting up at the Warroad Public Library, and on Friday, Warroad Youth Football is hosting a hot dog meal fundraiser at the Marvin Home Center! All this and more happening this week in Warroad!

It’s the last week of school! Spring sports are entering section tournaments and summer is almost underway! This Saturday is the HOOPFEST 3-on-3 Tournament at the Point in Warroad with local teams playing throughout the day and fundraiser meal offered, followed by a BINGO night at the Hampton! And we’re only 10 days away from NORTHBORN DAYS! We are still seeking vocalists for the Northborn Talent Competition so sign up today!
The baseball team learned their post season fate yesterday. They received the #4 seed and will host Thief River Falls on Tuesday. Game time is 5pm on Stukel Field.
