During next week's Homecoming Week 2024, our high school chapter of Minnesota Honor Society is running a cereal donation drive to collect cereal donations for our local food pantry. This is a week long, grade level competition, for a good cause! At the end of the week, the class (6th through 12th grade) that collects the most cereal wins a prize and bragging rights. Students should bring donations to their homeroom.

What is the "Orange Shirt Awareness - Every Child Matters" initiative? The "Orange Shirt Awareness" shines a light on the history, truth and impact of the US and Canadian Indian/ Residential Boarding Schools. There were 523 total Indian Boarding Schools that operated in the U.S from 1801 to present. With 24 total in the state of Minnesota. Why wear Orange? Wearing orange honors and upholds the survivors that have lived and endured the unimaginable and to commemorate the 150,000 plus children that did not make it home. Wearing Orange is a powerful emblem that shows your support and introduces the concept of " Truth and Reconciliation and the path towards healing. The enduring truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS.

Elementary students participated in a pep fest this morning and later a picnic lunch to celebrate their first two weeks of school and all the ways they're showing The Warrior Way as they settle back into school routines. Their Warrior Pride is contagious - keep it up! 🖤💛

Just a little update on our football game tomorrow. If you haven't seen our football field, the turf is being laid and is starting to look green! With that said, we will have to move our football game to Roseau. The football field project is moving fast, but not fast enough! Game time remains the same at 6pm. Hope to see you there! If you cannot make it, the game will be aired on KQ92 with the legendary JonMichael with the play by play. GO Warriors!
